Northwest Wetland Landscapes
'Wetlands', …this past year I have reacquainted myself with these unique Pacific Northwest ecosystems. For one they can be accessed fairly easily and contain a enormous quantity of photographic subjects, flowers, landscapes, environments, and of course abundant wildlife.
Wetlands can be Tidal or Non-Tidal areas, here is the Pacific Northwest we have an abundant tidal marsh but also due to recent urban growth designs and much needed EPA protections.
I visited a few newly explored and old favorites wetlands around the Puget Sound area. Some of my favorites are the Edmonds Wetlands in Edmonds, WA; Spenser Island in north Everett, WA; and the North Creek watershed in Mill Creek and South Everett area of Washington.
A favorite site is the Northwest Stream Center https://www.streamkeeper.org/) which has a great nature trail and wetland area If your in the area take a tour!
So I hope you enjoy these photographs from some of the wetlands I visited this summer, and as life in the wetlands changes with the season look back during the seasons for new photo updates. Enjoy !
