Hello! I retired a few years ago here in the Pacific Northwest after 36 years in aviation. I was very fortunate to travel the world as part of my job, to many far-off places that gave me a sense of how fortunate I was to visit these places and how small the world is when we stop and see all walks of life and people around this planet.
I started pn my journey photographing many years ago using my folks Fuji 35MM film camera. I got the digital photography bug when I was in Singapore when I purchased the ‘new’ and very small Casio Exilim which had only a 1.3-megapixel, fixed 37 mm equiv. lens, internal RAM and SD/MMC storage slot, 1.6" TFT LCD and could take still images and movie clips. It was only 86 g (3 oz) and a little bigger than a credit card! I have been hooked ever since!
I currently use a Nikon DSLR with multiple Nikkor lenses for many my journeys and sometimes I use a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V 18.2 MP Exmor R CMOS digital camera for rougher terrain areas and a Fujifilm FinePix XP90 Waterproof 16.4MP CMOS digital camera for shallow underwater shots. Still working on going to the Full Frame Nikon's, if you buy a few more photos then I may be able to afford one - ha!
As a constant learning photographer, I have created this site to collect, catalog and share some of my photos and journeys. I am a outdoor lifestyle, nature, and travel photographer, but always branching out to other venue specialities. Thanks for taking the time to visit this site, I hope to continue to share some good thoughts, photos and memories with you all.
Thanks again for visiting!
